Delivered on 14 November 2012, just twelve days before this picture was taken, Y-8F 2410 was one of the first pair delivered to the air force of Venezuela, bought to augment Grupo 6' fleet of C-130H Hercules. Traces of white plastic worn on its delivery flight can clearly still be seen on top of the wings and near the rudder.

When visiting Doha recently, I was outside and in between some buildings and palm trees when I heard an aircraft grunt. I quickly got rid of my backpack, zipped it open for the camera, activated it, lens cover away, point, shoot, voila. The weather was bad that day... resulting in a bad picture too, but hey it's a Aviación Militar Nacional Bolivariana (Venezuela Air Force) Y-8F of Grupo 6. Weird aircraft at a weird location!
