Note the tail logo which is the national flower of Surinam (faja lobi / Ixora Coccinea). Ex Braniff, crashed on approach to Paramaribo, Surinam, 7 Jun 89. The flight was inbound from Amsterdam and among the 176 passengers killed were 15 Surinamese soccer players who played professionally in the Dutch and Belgian leagues. Eleven passengers survived including three players.
