As oil exploration in the North Sea took off towards the end of the 1960s, the need for a better search and rescue service emerged. Helikopter Service was tasked with providing the service until the Sea Kings that the RNoAF had on order could be delivered. LN-ORE was delivered to Helikopter Service in August 1966 and served on the North Sea Shuttle until leased and later sold to Helicsa as EC-FJJ in late 1991.
