As oil exploration in the North Sea took off towards the end of the 1960s, the need for a better search and rescue service emerged. Helikopter Service was tasked with providing the service until the Sea Kings that the RNoAF had on order could be delivered. LN-ORE is here seen at Bergen Flesland's slightly sloping apron in early 1970.
