A photo from my Dad's collection when he was flying Gloster Javelin's with 64 Squadron. Dated 11 Oct 1963 I am not sure if he was flying one of these aircraft. What we have is a refueling sortie probably over the North Sea. The tanker is a Vickers Valiant BK1 XD820 of 90 Squadron based at RAF Honington in Suffolk. Being refuelled are 3 Gloster Javelin FAW9's of 64 Squadron based at RAF Binbrook in Lincolnshire. They are XH709 / K, XH708 / P and an aircraft coded G.
