This 1946 Cessna 140 was originally NC72877, later N72877. It came to Australia in 1990, being re-registered as VH-WKG. In 2014 it left for a brief spell on the RAAus Register, changing to 24-8525 on 1 August. On 27 July the following year it returned to the normal civil Register as VH-MMG(7).
