Originally for Capital Airlines, this Convair was sold to Japan Airlines (JA8026) in 1963. Sold in 1971 as N5858 to a series of leasing companies, the airliner was leased to a number of travel clubs and small airlines. Those included Century 2000, Jonian Airways and Holiday Magic Finland. Converted to a freighter in 1980 and registered N54CP, it's pictured with Central American Airways. Central American later operated the aircraft for Profit Express. Withdrawn in 1985 and stored at San Juan, Puerto Rico, the freighter was used for fire fighter training until broken up circa 1989.
