Stored at Cambridge after return to Lockheed by German operator Wirtschaftsflug, who flew it as D-ACWF between 1981 and 1983. The aircraft subsequently spent most of its life in Africa, and was damaged by attacks from the ground on no less than three occasions. The last of these, in Angola in 1999, resulted in the aircraft being shot down.
