This Seak King is part of the first batch of 24 SH-3D. Among them the second 12s were equipped with an additional AN/APN-195 radar on the front nose. Photo taken in occasion of a visit of the Chief of Naval Staff at 30° Stormo, being his badge visible on the side window of the cockpit (yellow trimmed 4 stars flag). 30° Stormo operated the Breguet Atlantic that had mixed crews from Italian Air Force and Navy, because it was in charge to the Air Force for management, training, operations and maintenance but under the Navy responsibility for missions. So the reason of his visit.
