First registered in Norway 30 April 1957 to F. Tenvig & Co AS and operated by Scancopter which became Helikopter Service in 1956. To Norsk Helikopterskole 5 June 1979, withdrawn from use in 1986 restored and put on display at Norsk Teknisk Museum. This was the first helicopter to be stationed on an oil rig in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea in 1971.

On display with the excellent Norsk Teknisk Museum in Oslo, is this Bell 47J in the colours of Helikopter Service, a company founded in 1956. In 1971, this helicopter was the first to be stationed in the North Sea. There, it transported personnel during the construction of Ekofisk oil field. It served until 1984.
