In March 2021, both the JASDF's F-4 and YS-11 made their last flights. For the venerable turboprop still flying as a calibrator at the end of its career, the phrase "Dart sound forever" was launched. The last time I saw both types there was during two days of rain in November 2009.

Doing calibration runs on runway 03L in very dull weather. Operational since February 1966, this classic was broken up at Iruma after its service with the Hiko Tenkentai ended in September 2018.
