Pieces of history. On 29 June 1942, a Dornier Do17M-1 of Luftdienst-Kommando Norwegen based at Oslo-Fornebu on its way for landing at Gardermoen, crashed on the eastern side of Hansakollen, a mountain just North of Oslo. All three on board perished in the crash. The remains of the aircraft with werknummer 2228 are still present 83 years later....

In reality this Fishbed-J was 782 with the NVA and then 2348 with the unified German AF. It now wears this false serial and still hangs on in the grounds of this, sadly, long closed museum.
