This picture was made only moments after the RF-84F shut its engines for the very last time. The Koninklijke Luchtmacht (KLu, Royal Netherlands Air Force) took delivery of this Thunderflash (FMS serial 51-11253) as P-5 on 11 May'56. It was transferred to Greece on 23 Apr'63. The RF-84F was then operated by 348 Mira. The Flash is seen here at Volkel, just after its final flight on 29 Jul'88. It was donated by Greece to the Netherlands. The latter restored the RF-84F in its original colors and serial. It is preserved at the Dutch National Military Museum at Soesterberg since March'95.

Original USAF serial 51-11253, given back to the Royal Netherlands Air Force for museum preservation. For the static show it was given 306 squadron markings on the tail.

Operated by 348 Mira, this RF-84F is seen arriving here in the Netherlands to be preserved. It is former RNLAF P-5 that went to Greece after its service in the Netherlands. It has been restored in its original colors and is preserved at the National Military Museum at Soesterberg.

After its arrival from Greece and before repainted in Dutch air force colours, this RF-84F was on display at Volkel carrying a 306sqn badge. This picture was taken during 306sqn anniversary spottersday.
