Despite the RAF markings, this was a civil aircraft. There were no civil registrations in Australia at the time it arrived in Melbourne. It would become G-AUEA in 1923. The photo is believed to be at Port Melbourne aerodrome soon after it was assembled after shipment from the UK. Port Melbourne was one of a cluster of three airports in this area, Coode Island and Fishermens Bend being the others. All have closed. Photo from: State Library of Victoria
