Ended up in a ditch near Amsterdam during a Rome - Paris - London - Amsterdam - Berlin - Munich - Rome tour by six Fiat R.22 and six Ansaldo A.120 aircraft under General Balbo. The pilot, on the right, is Francesco Brack-Papa and his passenger was General Lombardi. 6 July is the accident date. Our thanks to the Historische Kring Diemen for providing the exact location! Italian MM serials existed since 1923 and the 10000-12999 range was for light bombers and reconnaissance aircraft. Apparently the MM prefix was often not painted. Photo from: Amsterdam City Archives
