"JEST 24" last of 8 DC ANG Vipers deploying to Hickam for REFORPAC 2025

Unmarked but assigned to the 176th Fighter Squadron, 115th Fighter Wing, commanded by the Wisconsin Air National Guard.

Quite clear to what Air National Guard this Fighting Falcon belongs to! In Dec'17, the USAF announced that the 176th was one of two ANG squadrons selected for equipping with the F-35A. This F-16C was moved to the 121st FS of the District of Colombia ANG in September 2022.

Quite clear to what Air National Guard this Fighting Falcon belongs to! As of 2023, the 176th is converting to the Lockheed Martin F-35A Lightning II, with its first 5th gen jets having arrived on 25 Apr'23. The squadron previously operated these fine F-16C/D Fighting Falcon between 1993 and 2022. During our visit in May'17, the Wisconsin state, its governor and the 115th Fighter Wing with its 176th Fighter Squadron "Badgers" was already trying to get in lane for the F-35A. During our visit in May 2017, the 176th Fighter Squadron had a mix of F-16 tails in its inventory, two Colorado ANG aircraft, two Vermont ANG aircraft, all in full marks of their former owner. There were several unmarked F-16s, and of course the fully marked F-16s of the squadron itself. Some were furnished with a Badger tail, some carried the distinctive 'WI' tailcode, and even those were deviant from eachother: light grey and black markings. And check the difference between the Wisconsin fin on top of the vertical tail. The squadron is now flying F-35As.

A sight never to be seen again, a Badger Fighting Falcon blasting away from its homebase Truax Field with its distinctive hangar in the back ground. The squadron swapped to F-35A.

First flown on 15 Sep'88 and delivered to the 614th TFS at Torrejon (Spain) in Oct'88. Became a Desert Storm veteran in 1990 and was transferred to the 120th TFS "Mile High Militia" on 15 Jan'92. In May'05, this Fighting Falcon became the squadron bird and received 120 FS marks, large on its tail. The aircraft received more spectacular markings in Sep'05 when it was furnished for the 2005 Tiger Meet. From June 2023 it was again used for special markings, a scheme to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the squadron. In Apr'24, the F-16 was moved to the 422nd Test and Evaluation Squadron 'WA'.

This Viper was delivered to the 63rd Tactical Fighter Training Squadron 'MC' at Moody AFB (FL) in November 1988. It was moved on the base to the 63rd Fighter Squadron in October 1991 and eventually transferred to the Guards in February 1993. It was assigned to the ibnventory of the 176th Fighter Squadron "Badgers" of the Wisconsin ANG. After the squadron swapped to F-35A, this aircraft was transferred to the 93rd Fighter Squadron at Homestead Air Reserve Base (FL) to fly with the Reserves in March 2022.

This Fighting Falcon was delivered to the 63rd Tactical Fighter Training Squadron 'MC' at Moody AFB (FL) in November 1988. It was moved on the base to the 62nd Fighter Squadron in October 1991 and eventually transferred to the Guards in July 1994. It was assigned to the ibnventory of the 176th Fighter Squadron "Badgers" of the Wisconsin ANG. After the squadron swapped to F-35A, this aircraft was transferred to the 119th Fighter Squadron at Atlantic City (NJ) to fly with the New Jersey ANG in December 2022.

f/f 10 Dec'87, to the 612th TFS with tailcode 'TJ' at Torrjeon (Spain) in Jan'88. To CONUS in early'92 assigned to the 120th FS 'CO' of the Colorado ANG. Moved to the 170th FS 'SI' of the Illinois ANG in Oct'94, and from early 1996 to the 149th FS of the Virginia ANG. Returned to the active fleet in Jul'96 when it arrived at Canon AFB (NM) with the 523rd FS 'CC'. in Mar'01, back to the ANG: the 186th FS of the Montana ANG. In Apr'08 to the 134th FS of the Vermont ANG (as pictured). Temporary with the 176th (as pictured) and then to the 12st FS of the District of Columbia ANG in Feb'19.
