This former RAF Chippie, WB710, was de-mobbed in January 1951 and according to some sources went to the Sri Lankan Air Force. In any case it went to Ireland as EI-AJB in 1956 before coming to Australia in 1958 where it became VH-RSM(2) with the Royal Aero Club of NSW. Later re-registered VH-WMT, then VH-WMG. It was restored and re-registered VH-RSM(4) in 1987. Currently residing at Luskintyre and seen here at the Antique Aeroplane Association of Australia's Chippie Rally.

This aircraft is the one in which HRH Prince Charles learned to fly in the 1970s and it still carries his livery, that of the Royal Flight at the time. It is seen here at the De Havilland Moth Club charity flying day in a demonstration of Barnstorming. The pilot has his arm out about to throw an egg. Children were invited to write their names on the eggs and if the egg survived the fall they were given to the child. Remarkably, a large number did survive !

In the later part of its military career it served with Yorkshire UAS and the Flying Selection Squadron, whose badge it wears on the nose. It was sold on 27 February 1997 ex 5 MU Kemble and registered VH-KMF(2) on 14 October that year.
