The type was first flown in '55. The Azor was developed for the airlines and was intended for use by Iberia's national routes. It was a quite capable a/c but lacked performance and capacity compared to US and European designs. So it was surpassed by the Fokker 27 and the Convair 440. As the Spanish AF was desperate to replace their aging fleet of CASA 352s, the Azor was available and fit the air force specifications. They ordered eventually 22 aircraft, with deliveries between '60-'67. It was replaced by the C212 in the late 80s. The picture shows one of the final two operational two C207s.

Withdrawn from use on 12 December 2007. The aircraft was seen stored at its homebase Cuatro Vientos from late 2007. It was eventually scrapped.

This C212A1 was withdrawn from use on 16 March 2011 and placed into storage at homebase Cuatro Vientos. It was eventually scrapped.

This Mirage 3E was handed over to the Ejercito del Aire (Spanish Air Force) on 9 April 1970. After 3.255 flight hours it was withdrawn from service and moved to CASA at Getafe on 15 February 1990, and stored since.

This dual seat Mirage 3DE was handed over to the Ejercito del Aire (Spanish Air Force) on 10 March 1972 as CE.11-4. After 2.996 flight hours it was withdrawn from service. Through the years it has flown as 103-16 and 111-14 and somewhere it was reserialled to CE.11-27. The aircraft was the last Mirage to take off from Manises. It was flown on 23 October 1992 to Getafe for storage. In 2000, it was sold to Pakistan as a spare source. Its construction number 542 is still unconfirmed.

This C212B was withdrawn from use on 25 January 1997. It was moved to the museum in Cuatro Vientos from early November 1999 where it was stored without wings and tail. From 2002, the Aviocar was transported to Salamanca Matacan (Spain), where it was reported as stored (still without wings and tail) up to July 2021.

This Mirage 3EE was accepted by the Ejercito del Aire (Spanish Air Force) on 11 October 1972. After 3.168 flight hours, the aircraft was phased out on 1 October 1992. It was stored at Getafe since 14 October 1992.

This white T.12C was stricken from Spanish Air Force service on 12 January 2004 and sold back to manufacturer EADS CASA. It was seen stored at Sevilla San Pablo from summer 2004 and sold to Paraguay Policia Nacional as A-21 in May 2011.

Delivered in March 1974 and served the Spanish Air Force up to 28 April 2007 when it was withdrawn from use. The aircraft is placed in storage at Cuatro Vientos from summer 2007.

This Aviocar was withdrawn from use on 14 December 2005 and placed into storage at San Javier Murcia air base. It was cannibalized and subsequently scrapped.

Delivered in 1987 and withdrawn from use on 24 June 2006. The aircraft was seen engineless and stored at its homebase Cuatro Vientos from late 2005. It was eventually scrapped.

The first production Aviocar for the Spanish Air Force was seen on the flightline of Cuatro Vientos. The C212 was delivered in the mid-80s and withdrawn from use on 13 July 1999. You can still enjoy the aircraft as it is preserved in the Cuatro Vientos museum since November 1999.

This C212S1 was delivered to the Spanish Air Force in July 1983. The aircraft crashed on 5 February 1998 near Pinilla del Valle, Madrid after it hit Manotera Mount. The crew of five was unfortunately killed in this sad accident.

A May 1979 delivered Aviocar. The aircraft was withdrawn from use on 2 April 2014.

This Super Puma was delivered on 11 August 1983, from then it served 802 Esc and 803 Esc. With the latter, it crashed on 25 September 2007. The Super Puma was at that time deployed to Afghanistan and was written off near Gormach while evacuating injured people after a car bombing. It is reported that a wheel of the helo hit a pothole after which it capsized. No crew was injured in the accident, and the wounded were evacuated with another helicopter. The wreck was stripped of sensitive gear, set afire and received the final kill by an USAF F-15E. wfu 05oct07

Delivered to the EdA on 16 June 1977 as SA330J Z.19-5/EC-STR. It started to fly with 803 Esc and was re-serialled as HT.19-5/402-04 with 402 Esc on 31 July 1978. The helicopter then was marked 402-01 (as pictured) and later on as 402-53. It was re-serialled as HD.19-5 with 801 Esc on 31 March 1995. It was withdrawn from use some ten years later. Its current whereabouts are unknown to me.
