This 1940 built aircraft, unique to the UK register is a real gem. Previously N29261, the type, designed by Al Mooney first flew in 1939. Although over 600 were built, the vast majority were as radio controlled target drones for the US military and few survive

Whilst touring Germany and having promised my Wife that I would not visit airfields, we happened upon a bi-annual event at this delightful airfield. This 1941 built aircraft is a real gem. The type, designed by Al Mooney, first flew in 1939. Although over 600 were built, the vast majority were as radio controlled target drones for the US military and few survive. Many thanks to my 'Bodyguard' Andreas
