VH-RMN was operated by Ansett Airlines from May 1979 to February 1987. It was leased to Polynesian from March 1987 to April 1992. Until May 1990 it carried Cook Islands International markings on the starboard side. Soon after its return to Ansett it was repainted in East-West Airlines livery but less than a year later it was back with Ansett. Withdrawn from use in 1996 and sold in 1997, -RMN was flown to the US where it was converted to a freighter. It returned to Australia as VH-AUP.

This always brings a lump to my throat. The sight of the Ansett aircraft on the Brisbane ramp takes me back to the days when Ansett graced the Australian skies. Here VH-RMN taxies to the gate with some of her fellow aircraft in the background.
