VH-EXA was reregistered VH-YEA in July 1996.

VH-DWP was damaged at Tamworth, New South Wales, on August 3, 1989.

VH-AVS was one of several Aerostars used to deliver documents from Sydney to rural bank branches. The ability to safely remove satchels from the baggage locker of an Aerostar without shutting down the engines was an advantage in the quick turnarounds needed. In the late afternoon the aircraft retraced their route collecting the day's business papers.

The Aerostar was designed by Ted Smith whose company was taken over by Piper in 1978. BSL / MLH is a strange airport, with miles of fencing separating Swiss and French facilities and roads because Switzerland is not in the EU.
