Only eight CS-1 and CS-2 aircraft, including A-6504, were built by Curtiss. 75 more SC-1s and SC-2s were built by Martin, and the design evolved into the Martin T3M. Not a bad photo for a 12 year old with a Kodak Brownie Camera! When I took this photo the a/c was assigned to the National Parachute Facility at NAF El Centro, CA. Transferred to the USAF in December 1969 as 54-137741. Exported to Cambodian Air Force in 1972. In 1975 a Cambodian pilot used this a/c to escape to Thailand. To Philippine Air Force in 1976 as 137741. Withdrawn from use, exported to the U.S. and registered as N2052H. Currently registered as N1728T as of September 2003.

This FY1989 Tomcat, the 15th built F-14D, was delivered to the US Navy on 24 March 1991, so it was only some four months in use when this picture was made. It served VF-124 up to 1993 when it was transferred to VF-11, and later to VF-31 and VF-2 and VF-101 before it was stricken and sadly scrapped at Oceana on 22 September 2005.
