Aircraft markings - recorded a hit on a Japanese carrier (probably Shōhō) which was sunk. Stationed aboard USS Lexington, Battle of Coral Sea, where Lexington suffered critical damage, and was scuttled by USS Phelps May 8. ADM. R.W. Cousins: Cousins led dive-bomber attacks (VB-2) against the Imperial Japanese Navy at the Battle of the Coral Sea in May 1942 for which he was awarded the Navy Cross CAF Colonels: Col. G Levitz, Col ?. Griffin, Col L. Irvine. Rear fuselage markings: Confederate Air Force; Douglas SBD-5 Dauntless; N54532. Standard Navy markings - effective April 29,1942.
