Registered as G-BJTL prior to delivery to Air Virginia as N749AV in 1982. Back to British Aerospace in 1984 and reregistered as G-BJTL in 1986. To SATA Air Acores as CS-TAQ in 1987. Back to British Aerospace in 1992 and reregistered as G-BJTL. To Awood Air as C-GHSC in 1995 then to Calm Air in 1997. Withdrawn from use by 2018.
Ex Norway Airlines (LN-NOS) and Air Europe (G-BRXJ). To Air Malta (9H-ACT) and TAP Air Portugal (CS-TIO). It then operated with BRA Transportes Aereos in Brazil, with a brief lease spell back in Europe with Euro Atlantic Airways as CS-TLI. Final operater was WebJet Linhas Aereas (PR-WJK). Stored in Nov 2012.
I couldn't find much info on who Ecu Air were. However, it is believed that it was connected to Air Ops. This frame has a lengthy history. Suffice to say that it was ex TWA N31033 and SE-DPP with Time Air Sweden. Went to Royal Airlines as C-GRYU and Air Atlanta as TF-ABD. After that it went on to fly for several distant and exotic operators until it retired in Aug 2010.
A slightly abbreviated history for this aircraft is that it operated on subleases with multiple operators from 1994 to 1999. It then flew as D-AUKT with FlyFTI from Mar 2000 to Nov 2001. To Skyservice Airlines in Dec 2001 as C-GTDL, making seasonal swaps with MyTravel Airways (later First Choice Airways and Thomas Cook Airlines) until Nov 2010. Stored for a while and then to Skywings Asia Airlines Nov 2011. To Zagros Airlines Sep 2015 as EP-ZAR. To Iran Aseman Airlines Mar 2017 EP-API.
