Built for US Army as 43-29419. To G-AIYU in April 1947. Sold as PH-NIL in February 1958. Visiting Barton during the 1951 Open Day with the 1933-built control tower in the background.

Operated by Sivewright Airways on light charter work from Barton and Ringway Airports between October 1947 and sale in October 1950.

Manchester horse races has attracted five charter aircraft to Barton today. Four DH Dragon Rapides and Airspeed AS.65 Consul G-AIOS of Morton Air Services with passengers from Dunsfold.

Superficially similar to the Tiger Moth from which this aircraft was built, the fuselage was widened, lengthened and enclosed to make a four seat touring aircraft
