This Widgeon rolled off the production line in January 1947, but was stored until delivery in March 1948 to private owner. Registered N86641, the aircraft crashed landing on Lake St Clair in Michigan on May 19, 1953. Salvaged after it sank, the aircraft took to the air again in the mid 80s and was registered N86649 in 1987. The aircraft was modified to a Super Widgeon in 1988.

In the fleet 1944 - 50, it became N4851V with Babb Co and later Bethlehem Steel. Converted to a Dallaero Lodestar in the late 50s to early 60s, it was registered N1940S in 1964. The aircraft is now part of the Mid America Flight Museum collection.
