A SatNav with an Airfields Canada POI is a truly wonderful thing. On the way back to my hotel, after a day at the Jet Aircraft Museum in London, the SatNav took me to this interesting little field and I got to photograph a few nice planes that may well have been lost to me.

The picturesque tower of Ambato. Probably one of the quieter towers in the country. This field is used perhaps once a month by the air force for their blimp and some drones. Also, 2 LSA's reside here. (Nikon D610 + Nikkor 18-35mm f/3.5-4.5G ED AF-S)

The very quiet runway of Riobamba. A few times a year a politician's plane may land here, and the police maintains a hangar here too. (Nikon D610 + Nikkor 18-35mm f/3.5-4.5G ED AF-S).

This T.4 was TOC in 1963 by the RAF with the serial XR679. In cilvilain life it passed through various owners as G-BWGT before crossing the Atlantic and evetually joining the Jet Age Museum at YXU.

In Nova Scotia this CF-101 was in danger of corroding away to powder. As a result she has been rescued by the Jet Age Museum at YXU, although initial plans to restore her to flying status have been shelved due to cost.
