This Boeing 747 was originally delivered to Alitalia as I-DEMT in May 1985. After undergoing freighter conversion, it joined Atlas in March 1996 but was leased to SAS Cargo the following month (still as N517MC). It retured to Atlas in January 1997 and is pictured on the Miami Tech ramp undergoing some night maintenance. The plane was wfu in December 2011 and ferried to Roswell (ROW) where it was eventually scrapped. This photo is copyright © Alastair T.
