Pilot defected to the Allies during World War II. Ju88 flown to the US and tested at Wright-Patterson with the serial FE-1598. Stored at David-Monthan until 1960 when it was taken back to Wright-Patterson for the USAF museum. Seen here with its USAF test serial still showing, It was removed during restoration.
