The prototype Percival Gull after it was modified with an unbalanced rudder. This suggests that the photo was taken after the reconstruction, which was performed at Brooklands, and was required after it was almost completely destroyed in an accident in Scotland following its appearence in the 1932 King's Cup Air Race. In that race it retained the Hendy 302-style balanced rudder and wore the racing number 50. This photo was added on 25 November 2025, and has since been viewed 33 times. |
