Ex-RAF VIP aircraft with the Metropolitan Communications Squadron at Northolt. Offered to Norfolk Air Scouts on retirement. Flown into Coltishall for removal of parts for other aircraft still in service, then made last flight into RAF Horsham St. Faith, later Norwich Airport, in December 1968. After several years, the aircraft was offered to the Norfolk and Suffolk Aviation Museum in 1982 and delivered on 27th May 1983, minus engines, underslung on Chinook HC.1 ZA675 of 7 Squadron as a training exercise.
