The REP Type D on display at the Museum without its fabric covers is the original 1910 monoplane built by Robert Esnault-Pelterie, probably the prototype. It features a shoulder-wing design, dual controls, and a steel-tube fuselage - innovative for its time. This aircraft achieved notable record on 31 December 1910: a 530km flight in 6 hours 29 minutes. This photo is copyright © WalAndPl, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
