Lancaster KB848 was a Canadian-built Mark X bomber, delivered to the UK in January 1945 and assigned to RCAF's 428 Squadron. It did not fly combat missions and was returned to Canada in May 1945. In the 1950s, it was converted to a Mk.10 DC and used for Ryan Firebee drone trials. The cockpit section is preserved and on display at the Museum.
