Ordered by the USAF as SA-16B 51-7226. Transferred to the US Coast Guard as UF-1G 7226. Redesignated as an HU-16E in 1962. Stored at Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ in 1977. Left in 1985. Moved to a storage yard nearby. To Grumman as N5402G in 1988. Restored as a warbird and reregistered as N226CG in 1989. Curent on the register in 2025.
