Reregistered VH-BTW in June 1961. Aircraft had been flown by Fr Edward Bryan as part of his pastoral work and also in support of the Flying Doctor Service. At the time of the photo Port Hedland had two civil aerodrome, the racecourse and one further from the town with longer runways. The racecourse aerodrome was notable for the railway embankment on its boundary (right background). This aerodrome closed but the other remains the current Port Hedland airport.
