This Bf109E of unspecified sub-type was brought down during the Battle of Britain. It was shipped to Australia to assist in air crew recruitment and raise war bonds. 0750, which was built by Erla, was transported to many places in Victoria and Tasmania, suffering vandalism and damage along the way. The aircraft was scrapped after the war. This photo was issued by the RAAF as a postcard and found its way into innumerable Australian households.
