Although built for the RAF as V9552 this Lysander went to Canada in 1942 as a target tug for the RCAF. Post-WWII it was sold to a Canadian collector and then became part of the Strathallan Collection in Scotland (I remember fondly visiting there as a boy with my grandfather). It went to Duxford in 1997 for restoration, initially as a 309 (Polish) Sqn plane that flew from Scotalnd between 1940 and 1942, before joining the Shuttleworh Collection in 1998. A year later it was painted to represent V9367 of 161 Sqn, which flew from RAF Tempsford and Tangmere on SOE ops between 1942 and 1945. This photo is copyright © Alastair T.
