This 1957-vintage Whirlwind saw action with several different Naval Air Squadrons (845, 820, 701, 848, 847 & 705) and when reading the service history of such old generation helicopters it is notable just how many incidents and mishaps they were involved in. To RNAY Wroughton in December 1974 and Duxford by road in October 1975.
