The Neptune MR1 replaced the Avro Lancaster GR3 with 210 Squadron early in 1953 after the unit had moved to Topcliffe from St Eval. The unit disbanded at Topcliffe in January 1957 and WX526 was scrapped at RAF Siloth in November 1958.
