Delivered January 1944 to the USAAF as 42-92595, to the Royal Air Force as Dakota Mk III under lend lease as KG383, and to the South African Air Force as 6829 in 1944. Served the SAAF until December 1995 when sold to South African Airways for their Historical Flight as ZS-BXJ, named Zwartkop. Planned conversion to DC-3C, but used as spares source for ZS-BXF. Sold to a private individual and put on static display in Brentwood Park, Benoni. Seen here at Seen here at Johannesburg in basic SAAF colours with SAAF serial and civilian registration.
