Delivered to the USAAF September 1945, to the RAF as FL563 December 1943 and the SAAF October 1945 serving at AFB Ysterplaat with the station flight and 25 Sqd for a long time as the Dazzle Dak target tug. Converted to C-47TP and operated by 35 Squadron from july 1998. Suffered a runway excursion at Mthatha in November 2012.
