A3-41 suffered an engine bay fire in April 1976 and landed safely at Nowra naval air station (YSNW). It was rebuilt with parts from A3-8 as an instructional airframe at RAAF Forest Hill (Wagga Wagga). Later became a gate guardian at the main entrance of the base.
