On short final approach to Runway 31 at Prestwick for a fuel stop. Operated by Uni-Air. On a seasonal flight to Scotland's Western Isles, importing freshiy caught seafood to Europe. Taken on charge new by the USAAF in 1945 as 44-76787 and transferred to the Armée de l'Air. Joined Air France in 1946 as F-BAIF. Moved to Fret Air in 1970. Joined Uni-Air in 1973 and served until 1982. Became a museum exhibit in D-Day colours at Best, Netherlands. Badly damaged while being transported by road in 2010. This photo is copyright © David A.
