CF-CMS was a British-built Lancaster bomber that was converted by Victory Aircraft in Canada to a transport for Trans-Canada Air Lines. It entered service as a transatlantic freighter in July 1943. Passenger approval was granted in 1944. CF-CMS crashed and burned at Dorval on June 1, 1945 while trialling Rolls Royce Merlin 85s in Avro Lincoln cowlings. Sometimes listed a Victory Aircraft Lancastrian 10. The designation used here is from the Historic Canadian Civil Aircraft Register Project.
