VH-DYR was written off after its undercarriage collapsed on landing at Crookwell, New South Wales, on February 1, 1975. On October 10, 1970, I watched -DYR descent into rough ground on the Bankstown airport boundary after its engine lost power on take-off. The undercarriage was torn off but all four on board escaped serious injury. It was the first aircraft accident I witnessed.
