On display on the deck of museum ship CV-10 USS Yorktown. Derived from the A3D Skywarrior designed to operate from supercarriers as a nuclear bomber, the seven-seat EA-3B was the electronic recce and ECM variant. A crew of four operated the long Q-Band sideways looking ventral radar. The type entered service in Apr 1960 and was still flying during Op Desert Storm, standing down in 1991. This EA-3B served with VQ-1 "World Watchers" at NAS Agana, was embarked on CNV-70 USS Carl Vinson and went to VQ-2 "Sandeman" at NAVSTA Rota. It was saved for preservation by many donors and volunteers. This photo is copyright © Arjun Sarup, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
