Renamed from Empress of Rio de Janeiro for the occasion, this aircraft opened a polar route from Vancouver to Amsterdam, with one stop in Churchill, Manitoba or Sondrestrom, Greenland. To UAT / UTA as F-BHMS in 1959. Crashed into Mt Alcazaba in Spain on 2 October 1964; 80 killed.
