Pictured behind Northwest Airlines' main hangar, this 727 flew with the airline as N492US during 1966 - 81. Ready for delivery to IASCO to operate for Emery Air Freight, the aircraft was later operated by Orion Air and Ryan International Airlines for Emery Worldwide (1984 - 92). Sold to United Parcel Service in April 1992, it was re-registered N903UP and re-engined with Rolls Royce Tay engines before retired to Roswell, NM in February 2004. The freighter was scrapped with the registration cancelled in May 2007. This photo is copyright © Gary Vincent, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
