Not a drone, but a light single-seater derived from the BAC VII glider through the BAC Palette. These were designs of the British Aircraft Company in Maidstone, but Robert Kronfeld moved the firm to London Air Park, taking over British Klemm, and the Drone was produced there. Kronfeld was a Jewish Austrian who became a British citizen and an RAF Squadron Leader. William Forbes-Sempill flew G-ADJP from Croydon to Berlin in eleven hours in April 1936. The Ju 52s are D-ARAM Werner Voss, D-AGIQ Martin Zander and I-BIZI of Ala Littoria. Photo from: Museum of Flight This photo was added on 5 June 2024, and has since been viewed 242 times. |
