Tandem-wing aircraft designed by Samuel Langley in 1903. The pilot sat on the open fuselage structure mid-way between the two sets of wings. The design was unstable and the machine crashed into the water after a few seconds on each of its two attempts to fly. After modifications in 1914 it flew for short distances.
