Pictured near the peak of Frontier Airlines' success, this 737 was delivered on May 24, 1979. During airline deregulation, the carrier's fortunes declined and they were bought (and operated separately) by People Express Airlines in October 1985. Frontier stopped flying in August 1986 and merged with Continental Airlines along with People Express in 1987. This 737 had been sold to United Airlines (N989UA) in March 1986 before bankruptcy.
